Free Advertising of Interviewer and Coder Vacancies

From this week, MrWeb is offering free advertising of vacancies for interviewers and coders for agencies with full entries in its directory. The service will be trialled in the UK before rollout to Australia, the US and elsewhere.

MrWeb has run the UK's most successful index of executive vacancies since 1998 but has only experimented briefly, in 2000, with interviewer jobs.

Most of the UK's largest agencies and a number of small and medium sized already have full directory entries, which cost 250 pounds + VAT, with a 10% discount for booking online. The interviewer / coder vacancy service is another benefit to subscribers, following the addition of a report on Blue Chip research buying practices in 2002-3 and listings on sector-based home pages in 2003-4.

MrWeb MD Nick Thomas says the package will be relabelled this year as the directory entry itself becomes a smaller part of it. 'It's increasingly inappropriate to describe it as a directory entry with various free benefits thrown in, and it's about time we called it a corporate subscription. However, while we extend the paid package, we are also increasing the range of free services available on the site and via email'.

Free email services for market researchers now include:
  • daily or weekly news bulletins (since 2000)
  • daily or weekly emails of relevant executive jobs from our database of 1,200 current vacancies (2000)
  • 'People and Skills' supplement MRWho, 9 times a year (2002)
  • daily or weekly emails of relevant interviewer and coder vacancies (2004)
  • weekly, fortnightly or monthly emails of relevant events (introduced briefly 2002, to be revived 2004)

Free directory entries (all since 1998) are as follows:
  • Viewing Facilities (with pictures and prices)
  • Omnibus surveys
  • Full Service Agencies Directory entry with more limited exposure
  • Independent consultants

Agencies directory entries - whether paid or free options - are fully integrated with news and other sections so viewers can flip between a company's contact details, corporate description, current omnibus surveys, recent news releases, personnel announcements and current vacancies.
