iMotions Unveils Remote Data Collection Module

In Denmark, human behavior analyst iMotions has launched a data collection module using a browser interface and a participant's own webcam to collect data from facial expression analysis and eye tracking, for integration with self-reported surveys.

Peter HartzbechiMotions has developed what it describes as human behavior software platform, accessing real-time and non-conscious emotional, cognitive and behavioral data in a single platform. Built on the firm's Desktop Solution, the new tool can capture and integrate biometric, behavioral and self-reported data from a range of media - including images, videos and web sites - and distribution and data collection are managed remotely, from home or lab. Biometric studies can be fielded across hundreds or thousands of respondents, wherever, whenever and with broad or very narrow demographics.

Founder and CEO Peter Hartzbech (pictured) comments: 'The future of human behavior research isn't in the lab alone, but in complementing that by measuring and analyzing behavior in natural environments. The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed a short-term need to get into the real world, but it's only reinforced the overall need of researchers seeking to gain as much understanding as possible'.
