VideoAmp Names New Chief Financial Officer

In the US, TV software and data platform VideoAmp has appointed Paul Ross as Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Robert Leff, who has been promoted to the role of Chief Investment Officer.

Launched in 2014, VideoAmp offers a single platform through which to buy, optimize and measure digital video ads across TV, mobile and desktop devices. The platform also features Nielsen Online Campaign Ratings data, and supports third-party viewing tracking from companies such as Integral Ad Science and DoubleVerify. Yesterday, the company announced it has raised $75m in 'committed financing' from investment fund Capital IP, which it will use to hire executives and 'massively expand' the sales, client success and engineering teams.

Ross (pictured) joins after previously serving as CFO at a number of public companies - most recently as CFO of global tech firm The Trade Desk, which he joined in 2014. Earlier, he was CFO at molecular diagnostic solutions provider GenMark Diagnostics, IT firm Teledata Technology Solutions, multinational company Meade Instruments Corporation, and solar energy firm Power-One, having begun his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In addition to Ross's hire, VideoAmp has promoted Michael Parkes to President, Nick Chakalos to Chief Strategy Officer, and Laura Tormey to Chief Revenue Officer.
