$38m for Product Feedback Start-Up UserLeap

San Francisco-based UserLeap, an AI-powered platform giving product development teams continuous and rapid qualitative user feedback, has raised $38m in a Series B funding round led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Ryan GlasgowFounded in 2018 by Ryan Glasgow and Kevin Mandich, the company allows users to run targeted, in-product micro surveys at any time, with a snippet of code deployed just once, giving product managers same-day feedback on feature usage, customer needs and the onboarding experience. Responses are automatically analyzed and prioritized and the model learns with each response. The product was 'introduced to the world' (in the words of CEO Glasgow) with a $16m series A round in December.

With the series B funding, Andreessen Horowitz general partner Kristina Shen is joining UserLeap's board. In a blog post, Glasgow said: 'Through this investment, we will be able to grow our team across all core functional areas and accelerate our future roadmap. We can't wait to continue helping companies of all sizes bring customer insights into every product decision. With world class investors, strong market traction, and an ambitious roadmap, we're confident that UserLeap will soon be the must-have tool for every digital product team'.
