Madden Named President at Market Decisions

In the US, Market Decisions Research (MDR) has promoted Patrick Madden to the role of President, after more than seventeen years with the business. He takes over from owner Curtis Mildner, who will take a new position as advisor to the management team.

Based in Portland, Maine, MDR conducts qual and quant research for non-profit, for-profit, and government organizations across the country using in-house resources and advanced analytical techniques. Its expertise includes public health, healthcare and environmental studies, judicial performance evaluation surveys, and insurance.

Madden (pictured) joined MDR in 2003, after working at the Center for Business and Economic Research, applying advanced regression techniques using SAS and SPSS for the Maine Labor Force Analysis Project. Most recently, he was MDR's Executive Vice President, serving as principal investigator on a wide range of projects, and during his time with the firm he has managed branding research, conducted product and service feasibility research, analyzed secondary data, and tracked awareness and impact of traditional mass media marketing.

In his new role, he will work with the senior exec team which has also been with the firm for nearly twenty years. This includes VP of Operations Jennifer Oliver, VP of Research Brian Robertson, and VP & CFO Nathaniel Mildner. Commenting on the move, Mildner said: 'This transition plan has been in the works for several years. Patrick started as an entry level employee and has been successful in every role he has taken on. He is ready to lead.
