CleverTap Hires First Chief Growth Officer

AI-powered customer lifecycle and user retention platform CleverTap has hired former Salesforce exec Vikrant Chowdhary for the newly created role of Chief Growth Officer, leading the firm's go-to-market strategy globally.

CleverTap has offices in San Francisco, Seattle, London, Singapore and Mumbai, and offers an suite allowing brands to convert, engage, retain and grow their mobile user base, aided by machine learning and behavioral analytics. In 2019, the firm completed a $35m Series C funding round, which it has been using to grow a new US-based engineering hub, add enhanced predictive capabilities, and drive a global market expansion strategy.

Chowdhary (pictured) joins from CRM giant Salesforce, where he directed finserv vertical and enterprise business units in India. Before this, he held country leadership roles at SAP, latterly as Head of Analytics & Insights Business for the Indian Subcontinent; and he worked for IBM as General Manager of the Software Solutions group.
