Acquisition for US Data Firm Perception Health

In the US, healthcare market intelligence, predictive analytics and data provider Perception Health has been acquired by professional services firm Huron. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Perception Health offers data which uncovers trends and enables the early detection of disease in populations. Clients are consultants, life sciences companies, market research agencies and financial services firms looking to understand a population's health and the risks individuals face.

According to Huron, the deal will strengthen its own healthcare predictive analytics and data capabilities, to help clients discover insights and detect patterns to optimize patient care and make better data-driven decisions. All Perception Health employees will join Huron, including CEO Gregg Loughman and co-founder / Chief Data Scientist Tod Fetherling.
