NP Digital Buys AnswerThePublic

Performance marketing agency NP Digital has acquired Brighton, UK-based AnswerThePublic, which taps autocomplete data from search engines to analyse the phrases and questions people are asking around a client's keywords. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mike GullaksenAnswerThePublic consumer insight helps agencies, PR firms and marketers deliver targeted content to drive traffic, monitor trends, and design new products and services. The solution collates, tracks and alerts users to questions being asked on Google, providing an understanding of how people search around topics. In addition, the platform can be used to understand competitors and reveal how people are talking about them.

The firm will now link with NP Digital's keyword discovery tool Ubersuggest. NP Digital CEO Mike Gullaksen (pictured) says his firm's technology is 'designed to scale with the enterprise, but at the same time provide easily accessible insights to help growing companies add a competitive edge'. He adds: 'The acquisition of AnswerThePublic enhances our digital ecosystem and I'm particularly excited for the depth it adds to our data analysis and visualization capabilities'.
