Sales and Web Visitor Intel Providers to Merge

European sales intelligence provider Echobot and web visitor intelligence platform Leadfeeder have agreed to merge, using a EUR 180m investment from equity firm Great Hill Partners to support the deal.

Bastian Karweg and Pekka KoskinenEchobot specializes in providing company, contact and market-relevant data to support sales and marketing teams, with a data platform using machine learning to help businesses refine their target audience. Leadfeeder offers a B2B sales intelligence platform that identifies buyer intent on customers' web sites, automatically scores their intent based on behavior, and assigns them to the right channel at an appropriate time.

The newly formed group will be led by Echobot CEO Bastian Karweg and Leadfeeder CEO Pekka Koskinen, and headquartered in Germany with a global team of 250 professionals across six offices in Europe and the US. Along with the EUR 180m investment, Great Hill Partners has committed an additional EUR 50m for the combined company to pursue strategic acquisitions.

Karweg says that thanks to Great Hill, the companies have assembled the 'best data, AI / ML, talent, and operating experience'. Koskinen adds: 'Integrating Leadfeeder's web visitor identification system with Echobot's data and prospecting solutions creates a unique platform upon which we can both enable organizations' to identify and engage high-intent prospects as well as introduce incremental applications that enhance B2B sales and marketing operations'.
