Huge Investment Doubles Contentsquare Valuation

Paris-based user experience analytics firm Contentsquare has closed a $600m growth investment round, doubling its valuation to around $5.6 billion. Money will be used for geographical and product expansion, M&A, and to support long-term growth in key markets.

The round includes $400m in Series F equity - led by Sixth Street Growth and joined by numerous existing investors including KKR and BlackRock - and $200m in debt financing; and brings its total raised to date to $1.4bn, with last Spring's Series E round generating $500m.

Contentsquare, whose Board of Directors will be joined by Sixth Street MD Benjamin Johnston, says the funds will also help it 'deliver greater impact in areas where it can really make a difference, including digital accessibility, privacy & sustainability'.

The firm promises brands 'an unprecedented understanding of the customer experience on their websites and apps' using an AI-powered engine to analyse and report on 3.2 trillion customer interactions monthly and $2.5 billion in transactions daily. It boasts several hundreds of million dollars in annual recurring revenue and a year-on-year revenue growth rate above 100%; and a headcount of 1,500, including 430 in R&D - in seventeen offices around the world.
