Arbitron Restructures US Media Services

Arbitron Inc. has announced that it is realigning its U.S. Media Services organization. All U.S. Media Services marketing resources are united under a single executive, Scott Musgrave, as are all U.S. Media Services sales organizations under Carol Hanley. Both will report to Owen Charlebois, president, U.S. Media Services.

Musgrave, formerly Senior VP and General Manager for Arbitron Radio, becomes Senior VP, Marketing, U.S. Media Services and will lead radio station / group marketing; advertiser and agency marketing; product management and development; and customer service and support.

Hanley, formerly senior VP, Advertiser, Agency and Cable Services for the group, assumes the role of Senior Vice President, Sales, U.S. Media Services and leadership of sales efforts for local and group radio stations; national radio services; local and group agencies; and cable.

Charlebois says the move is in response to customer demands for 'greater accountability throughout the buy-sell process' which requires 'a new, holistic approach to connect the dots between the buyer and seller... As our customers build integrated organizations that include many media and as the industry discusses the possibility of embracing a single-source, multi-media measurement system, Arbitron needs to be organized to support that transition'.

Both execs will remain based in their current locations, Musgrave in New York and Hanley in Chicago. Arbitron's research and technology organization is located in Columbia, Maryland and its executive offices are in NYC. Its web site is at www.arbitron.com
