Curion Launches New Product Benchmarking Score

In the US, product and packaging consumer insights firm Curion has launched the Curion Score - a product benchmarking tool that allows brands to compare their product to 500 million data points within the company's proprietary insights database.

Sean BiscegliaCurion, which was recently acquired by private investment firm Summit Park, has a sensory products insights platform called eFive; a product and packaging optimizer, S2P; and a real-life product testing capability, Life Labs. The company also operates testing facilities in San Francisco, Atlanta, Boston, New York and Dallas.

To build its new tool, Curion worked with industry leaders and academics to convert its 45 years of product insights experience into an asset. The score comprises a single number that captures the performance of the product, which can be compared against a normalized database. It is then analyzed against products within a category to uncover competitive advantages, gauge market readiness, and deliver product understanding. Using the solution, brands can benchmark within their category before their product hits the market, and optimize their product to ensure market success.
