New Division and MD for Irish Data Science Firm Siren

In Galway, Ireland, investigative intelligence analytics specialist Siren has appointed Dr Ryan Clarke as Managing Director of a new strategic and applied projects division, Siren Consulting.

Siren logoSiren evolved out of a collaboration between a team of over 30 researchers in the National University of Ireland, Galway, led by Dr. Giovanni Tummarello and Dr. Renaud Delbru, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - focused on how to derive meaning out of data with a particular focus on search. Siren became a product company in 2016.

The firm's platform is rooted in academic R&D in information retrieval, distributed computing and knowledge representation, and combines solutions for search, business intelligence, link analysis and big data operational logging and alerting.

The new unit will combine Siren's investigative technology with domain-specific expertise, proprietary network graph generation and precision targeting capabilities to help clients directly address challenges relating to national security, public safety, fraud and compliance, and cyber threats.

Dr. Clarke is a multi-domain intelligence and operational specialist whose has worked in strategic positions around the globe in law enforcement, defence, investment banking and emergency response, in complex environments against hostile state actors and other networked threat groups. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
