Escalent Deals Expand Commercial Vehicle Unit

Analytics firm Escalent has acquired commercial vehicle and off-highway powertrain data provider Rhein Associates, for an undisclosed sum. Together with a partnership with Work Truck Solutions, Escalent will expand its existing Commercial Vehicle and Fleet Research practice.

Rhein Associates provides the North American commercial vehicle and off-highway equipment markets with databases, analysis and insight. The firm is best known for its Rhein Report, which offers clients market intelligence and perspective to inform their business strategies. Escalent says the acquisition will enable it to combine forecasted production (supply-side) data with its existing primary and syndicated Fleet Advisory Hub (demand-side) data.

Additionally, Escalent has partnered with Work Truck Solutions, which provides a commercial vehicle inventory management, operational analytics and digital marketing solution that promises to 'maximise commercial sales, customer relationships and profitability' for dealers and their business buyers. With this deal, Escalent will combine Work Truck Solutions' commercial vehicle inventory dataset with Rhein Associates' offer, and its own Automotive & Mobility practice data specialties, to create new joint offerings.
