Amagi Buys Streaming Data Platform Streamwise

In the US, broadcast and Connected TV technology provider Amagi has acquired Streamwise, provider of a data aggregation and reporting platform for content distributors. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Doug ShinemanLos Angeles-based Streamwise specializes in automating and standardizing data collection across streaming platforms. The firm provides centralized access to a large portfolio of the top streaming channels, such as Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu and Apple TV, along with marketing and insights services.

Amagi says the acquisition will help enhance its own data solutions capabilities including the THUNDERSTORM server-side ad insertion (SSAI) solution, which offers content brands a dataset of performance metrics on viewing and ad engagement.
