Channel Factory Hires Product Strategy Trio

In the US, YouTube ad platform Channel Factory has hired three execs to inform global product strategy - Tanya Kolosova as Director of Analytics and Data Science; James Rooney as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Product; and David Silva as Director of Product Design.

Tanya KolosovaChannel Factory's proprietary technology ensures that YouTube advertisers can run ads against content that aligns with their brand, and optimises campaigns through the use of active and historical campaign performance data. Kolosova (pictured) joins in New Jersey, after a stint at retail pricing specialist DemandTec, before which she spent five years at Associates In Analytics Inc., latterly as Principal, Innovator and Actionable Analytics Expert. Earlier she was SVP, Market Research and Analytics at fintech firm ITG, and SVP Research & Analytics at IPG. She began her career at Nielsen, where she led development of statistical methodologies and techniques to measure the effectiveness of online and TV ad campaigns.

Rooney joins in New York with twenty years' experience of advertising, digital media and technology, including publisher, advertiser, agency, programmatic and ad tech. Most recently, he served as VP Revenue Technologies and VP Advertising Technology at The New York Times, before which he was SVP, Platforms at Accordant Media, Director Media Buying and Platforms at Akamai Technologies, Solutions Consultant at DoubleClick and Google, and an Account Management Specialist at Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions. Finally, Silva joins in Tampa FL with more than twenty years' software engineering experience, gained at companies including PwC, Google and Cisco.

In their new roles, Kolosova will support product development through new data practices; Rooney will cultivate a product delivery team, tasked with expanding Channel Factory's footprint into new forms of media; and Silva will lead a team of designers, tasked with developing a system for streamlining future product design and development.
