WNS Buys Research and Analytics Firm The Smart Cube

Business Process Management (BPM) solutions provider WNS has acquired platform-based research and analytics firm The Smart Cube for $125m. WNS has also bought procurement platform consultancy OptiBuy for EUR 30m.

Headquartered in London, The Smart Cube has more than 800 global employees and provides market intelligence and analytics solutions across four areas: procurement and supply chain, commercial sales and marketing, digital and analytics, and strategy and investment research. Warsaw, Poland-based OptiBuy, which has around 90 employees, helps clients use the capabilities of third- party procurement and supply chain platforms, while also providing consulting, optimization, outsourcing and training services.

WNS says these assets are complementary to its existing offerings and strengthen its capabilities in both high-end procurement and advanced analytics. WNS CEO Keshav Murugesh (pictured) comments: 'Both of these companies possess unique, digitally led, human intelligence capabilities which are complementary to WNS' existing procurement and analytics offerings, and are also complementary with each other. We believe that the firms will significantly enhance our WNS-Denali (procurement) and WNS-Triange (analytics) solutions, and help accelerate our positioning and growth in these strategic areas'.
