Jibunu Adds Medical Transcription to Response Tool

In the US, market research technology and survey programming company Jibunu has added medical transcription features to its video / audio response capturing tool.

Ken BerryJibunu's proprietary platform enables clients to create solutions for both qualitative and quantitative research. This includes complex, custom projects such as conjoint, max-diff, adaptive, KANO, diary studies, advanced logic or graphic/multimedia needs, and multiple languages. In November, the firm expanded its DIY offering with the launch of a survey text editor tool.

The new addition uses automatic speech recognition to transcribe medical terms such as procedures, conditions, diseases and medicine names. In addition to medical transcription, the company can now offer automated extractions for entity detection, such as medications used, conditions noted, tests, treatments and procedures, anatomy, and Protected Health Information (PHI). It can also find diagnoses and provide ICD-10-CM coding; text with medications and their RXNorm codes; and medications or diagnoses with their SNOMED-CT codes.

Company President Ken Berry (pictured) comments: 'Utilizing our current tools for audio and video capture, and leveraging healthcare specific transcription libraries, creates a powerful instrument for our healthcare clients. It is solutions like these that keep Jibunu at the forefront of efficiency tools for market research'.
