Prevision Launches Tradespeople Omnibus

In the UK, data collection provider Prevision Research has launched an omnibus service called Trade Tracker, offering access to data on tradespeople such as builders, decorators, electricians, plumbers, handymen and roofers.

Stephen BairfeltAcquired by PurpleMR in 2019, Prevision Research is a boutique CATI centre with a specialism in accessing hard-to-reach audiences such as B2B samples, housing association tenants, professional services and trade audiences.

The new Trade Tracker boasts a 100,000 strong panel. Waves of research will be conducted monthly through CATI and online approaches, and the service will allow users to ask between six and ten questions. The service will be provided as a data only or a full-service option. MD Stephen Bairfelt (pictured), says traditionally this audience has been difficult to reach because of the fragmented nature of the market and the type of work conducted by tradespeople.

'The advantage we have is that many of our interviewers have established strong relationships with individual operators, while devising strategies on how to best engage this audience and encourage participation in research', Bairfelt explains. 'We know that online approaches mainly reach younger trade audiences and CATI approaches skew towards older tradespeople - by combining both approaches we are much more confident in truly reaching a representative sample'.
