New Mexico-based data science company RS21 has raised $3m in an investment round, which it will use to create 30 new jobs during the next two years, increase the pipeline of its data analytics service, and evolve its 'most promising' technologies into products.

Charles RathRS21 (Resilient Solutions 21) uses artificial intelligence, design, data engineering and software development methods to help organizations make data-driven decisions. From its offices in Albuquerque, NM and Washington, DC, the company aims to help clients achieve programmatic goals, improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and maximize productivity using MOTHR, its human-centered, AI engine that allows users to integrate data and uncover insights at 'hyper speed'.

The new investment comes from Thayer Ventures, and is RS21's first external funding raise. Charles Rath (pictured), company President and CEO, comments: 'We are excited to have Thayer Ventures as a partner in our journey to enabling more organizations to make better, smarter, faster decisions based on empirical evidence. Their expertise and track record of success in early-stage technology companies make them the perfect partner to help us advance our capabilities and make data insights more accessible to decision makers'.
