MMR Opens Ad Hoc Sensory Panel in India

UK-based consumer and sensory research agency MMR Research Worldwide has launched what it says is India's first ad hoc sensory panel, for FMCG product research in India.

Udita Srivastava, Harsha Pore and Shwetha NarayanamoorthyMMR operates globally with offices in the UK, the USA, China, Brazil, Singapore, India, Thailand, Colombia, South Africa and the Netherlands. Earlier this year, the company opened a facility in Wokingham, Berkshire, designed to help FMCG firms improve their pack and product experience.

The new panel will help drive product development, catering to what MMR describes as 'India's diverse cultural palate'. Leading the panel are Udita Srivastava, Sensory Senior Research Consultant, who previously worked at Dr Reddy's Laboratories, Unilever, and GlaxoSmithKline; Harsha Pore, Senior Sensory & Consumer Insights Consultant, who earlier worked for SLAY Coffee, 7-Eleven, and General Mills: and Shwetha Narayanamoorthy, Graduate Panel Leader, who has a master's in food science.

Margaux Ducatillon, Sensory Head of Singapore & India at MMR, states: 'The launch of India's first ad hoc sensory panel marks a major milestone for MMR Research India and the FMCG industry. The panel's expertise will guide FMCG brands in making informed decisions throughout product development. This, in turn, will enable the creation of sensory-rich products that differentiate brands in a saturated marketplace.'
