UK-based digital transformation consultancy Kin + Carta has officially opened its Southeast Europe delivery hub, following its acquisition of Bulgaria and North Macedonia-based software development company Melon Group early last year.

Krum HadzhigeorgievA new office space in Pristina, Kosovo has been rebranded as Melon adopts the Kin + Carta name and completes its integration. Melon's twenty-year presence in the region give the group a strong platform and it now boasts more than 300 members of staff in the SE Europe region - 80% of these are engineers. The firm also says it will open a global data centre of excellence in North Macedonia, tapping into the region's talent.

Kin + Carta also has operations in four other European countries - Greece, Poland, The Netherlands and the UK, as well as Americas locations in New York, Denver, Portland, Colombia and Buenos Aires.

Group CEO Europe David Tuck comments: 'The global team recognises the deep engineering and data excellence and rich experience that comes from Southeast Europe. The next logical step to show our commitment to the region was to firmly embed the company here. It's also important that our clients receive a consistent experience. With our delivery hub we're enabling all of our people, across all locations the chance to develop meaningful connections with their colleagues. Ultimately one connected team means success for our Kin and our clients alike'.

Krum Hadzhigeorgiev (pictured), former Melon CEO and now Executive MD of Kin + Carta Southeast Europe, says that with the new identity and the forthcoming data excellence centre, 'we'll continue to work as one global company, maintaining our position in the southeast European market, being a voice for change and delivering the best digital capabilities for responsible business across all of Europe and globally'.
