Ipsos Buy Strengthens NZ Public Sector Offer

Ipsos has acquired New Zealand's CBG Health Research Ltd from its previous owner, research and telehealth services firm Reach Aotearoa.

Neil TeeThe global insights giant says the buy boosts its existing strength in public sector research, adding CBG's large scale population surveys which provide critical evidence to public sector clients on topics such as education, public health, transport and social issues.

The NZ firm boasts long-term government relationships and recurring contracts, and was established by former nurse Carol Boustead Gibb and former GP Dr Barry Gribben. Its General Manager Neil Tee (pictured), a twelve-year veteran of the company, says of the buy: 'We are thrilled to become part of Ipsos. Our shared commitment to quality, innovation and integrity signals exciting opportunities for our people and clients'.

Ipsos Global CEO Ben Page says the buy is part of the firm's ambition to grow in public sector research across its global footprint, and concludes: 'It adds to our strength in New Zealand, making us one of the largest players in the market there'.

Carin Hercock, Country Manager of Ipsos in New Zealand, adds: 'We are excited to bring together the gold standard operations of CBG with Ipsos best in class research and evaluation frameworks, as well as building on the combined strength of our talented people.
