Senior Hires for Thinks Insight

London-based consultancy Thinks Insight & Strategy has appointed former Ipsos exec Andrew Johnson as a Partner: and Paul Carroll and Jonny Harper as Directors. Eoin Campbell joins as an AD and Lucy Keartland as Research Lead.

Ben ShimshonJohnson worked for more than 26 years at Ipsos, most recently as Director, International Social Research. He brings experience of qual and quant research for UK and international clients, including work for inter-governmental, humanitarian and private sector organisations; NGOs, international financial institutions, policy institutes, think tanks, foundations, universities and the media.

Carroll has worked in qual research at Ipsos MORI for more than fifteen years, and brings expertise in transport & infrastructure, health, the environment and politics. This included designing and directing the first climate assembly to take place at local authority level in the UK, and Carroll is an advocate for deliberative methodologies and their capacity to bring citizens and clients closer together when addressing big, complex challenges.

Harper, a specialist in using insight to support strategic decision-making, worked at nfp Research for three years prior to an eighteen-month stint as an SRE at Ipsos UK. Since leaving Ipsos at the beginning of 2020 he has worked in two government roles, first as a Senior Research Officer at the Home Office and then as Head of Social Research at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Thinks has also strengthened its Behavioural Insight and Advisory Team with the appointments of Campbell and Keartland, The former was an Assistant Statistician for the Scottish Government prior to his most recent four-year spell in experimental design at Cowry Consulting, and has worked extensively in financial services, energy and retail. The latter worked previously at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy; the Office for National Statistics; and in local government.
