TRP Partners for Cross-Media Consumption Insight Tools

European consulting and digital services firm Sopra Steria has announced a partnership with media insights firm TRP Research to help broadcasters, advertisers and others understand the way television and VOD services are consumed across different devices and platforms by UK audiences.

David RaybouldSopra Steria boasts around 55,000 employees in nearly 30 countries and generated revenue of EUR 5.1 billion in 2022. Its new partner, Taunton, Somerset-based TRP Research combines media industry savvy with existing and primary data sources to provide measurement data and understanding for the television industry.

The deal combines Sopra Steria's large-scale data analytics and user design capabilities with TRP's in-depth knowledge of media content and consumption, to develop a new suite of media solutions they say will 'transform the way audience data and insight is disseminated and understood across the industry'. The first of these, AudEx Visualise, is a portal providing a customisable summary view of the TV and VOD (video on demand) landscape, including how specific channels, platforms and content are performing against a wide range of bespoke metrics. Users can explore the data behind this in depth according to their requirements.

Sopra Steria's MD Private Sector Craig Wilson comments: 'Together, we've developed AudEx Visualise to modernise the way TV and VOD audience data is accessed, understood and distributed - moving away from a reliance on complicated spreadsheets and unwieldy presentations. Crucially, it means that anyone working in the industry, whether it's those commissioning programmes or media buyers purchasing advertising space, can be confident they're making decisions - and optimising their budgets - based on the most robust and insightful audience data available'. TRP Chief Exec David Raybould (pictured) says AudEx Visualise provides the firms' 'extensive media knowledge and understanding, curated via an intuitive portal, making it easy to find the information you need when you need it'.
