Mangra Buys Out Canadian Research Software Firm Q-Fi

In Toronto, Canada, survey software firm Q-Fi Solutions has been acquired by co-founder and CTO Rafael Mangra, who is relaunching the company with a range of branded solutions. Mangra was previously a minority shareholder while the majority of shares were owned by The Logit Group.

Rafael MangraThe company was founded in 2013 and offers SaaS quant and qual solutions for both agency and in-house research teams. Mangra will now take over as CEO, while Dan Jackson has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer. Jackson brings extensive experience including six years as Member Outreach Executive for industry association the MRIA, and three at QuestionPro, most of them as Managing Director, Canada.

The relaunched company will focus on three specific 'enterprise grade' solutions: Q-Fi Surveys, Quanti-Fi and Quali-Fi, promising respectively to streamline survey creation, quant data analysis and qualitative research processes.

The Logit Group, founded in 1997 and focused on data collection via online and telephone research, says the sale allows it to sharpen its focus on its foundational business pillars, which also include the Zamplia sample marketplace, and other research technology solutions. The company is also based in Toronto.

Mangra (pictured) says he aims to accelerate Q-Fi's innovation, including use of AI. He comments: 'This acquisition is not just a milestone for Q-Fi but a testament to our dedication and passion for providing innovative solutions to improve and streamline the research process. We are poised to delve deeper into our core competencies, enhancing our products and services to meet the evolving needs of our clients'.
