Customer journey management and insights firm TheyDo, based in Amsterdam, has secured $34m in funding, with which to increase R&D - focused on AI and data ingestion - and build out its customer-facing team in the US.

Jochem van der VeerFounded in 2019, TheyDo helps clients to understand, manage and optimize complex customer journeys in real-time via a live platform, providing visualizations of the customer experience and personas to help understanding of all customer types.

The firm raised EUR 12m in a Series A round of funding in December 2022, one of whose lead investors Blossom Capital also led the new round. The latest raise, which the firm says follows another year of triple-digit year-on-year growth, was supported by existing investors Arches Capital and InnovationQuarter and joined by global customer experience evangelist Steven Van Belleghem, HighSage Ventures and 20SALES. Total funding received thus far is around $50m.

TheyDo now boasts a team of 70 people worldwide, with plans to reach 100 by the end of this year, with US growth in mind. CEO and co-founder Jochem van der Veer (pictured) comments: 'What's most exciting about our growth is we're not just building a company or a product - we're fostering a movement of journey-centric companies... With journeys at the heart, we're bringing an operating model that is agile and customer-centric'.
