Wireless Expert Joins ABI
US agency ABI Research has appointed Ken Hyers as Principal Analyst in charge of global wireless operator research. Hyers is a well-known commentator on wireless trends and was formerly a Senior Analyst at In-Stat/MDR.
In his new role, he will be responsible for studies covering next generation wireless services, video over wireless, location based services, mobile commerce, global subscriber growth and forecasting, as well as regulatory issues such as E911 and wireless local number portability (WLNP).
Hyers is a well-known figure in the technology press and is frequently quoted in wider business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a Masters Degree in International Relations from Northeastern University in Boston.
