IDC Appointment
Technology analyst IDC this week announced the appointment of Robert E. Welch as Group Vice President and General Manager of its Worldwide Services Research Group.
Welch has more than 25 years of consulting and IT services experience, most recently as VP at Bass & Company Management Consultants where he was responsible for business and corporate development, and previously as VP, Product Industries at Cap Gemini, a Partner at Ernst & Young, and Senior VP at Computer Sciences Corporation.
According to Crawford Del Prete, IDC's Senior VP of Communications, Hardware, Services, and Software Research, 'The services market is experiencing a profound transformation. Bob and his team will drive IDC's ability to deliver next generation services market research to our customers'.
