Yahoo! Man Heads New comScore Euro Unit

comScore Networks has announced the formation of a newly consolidated European business unit, comScore Europe, and the appointment of marketing and media research veteran Bob Ivins to head it up as MD.

Ivins will report to Peter Daboll, President and CEO of comScore Media Metrix. The new unit will be based in London, and will deliver a full range of consumer research and analysis services to Europe-based clients as well as serving the European interests of clients based elsewhere.

Ivins has more than 20 years of relevant industry experience, most recently as Director of Research for Yahoo! Europe, and previously at econometric consultants DRI; ACNielsen; Web server log analysis pioneer I/PRO; and Dynamic Logic, which specialises in online advertising effectiveness measurement. He also worked at Media Metrix before it was acquired by comScore in 2002.

Magid Abraham, Ph.D., President and CEO of comScore Networks, says the European expansion is 'an important step forward for our company. Client demand for our services in Europe has grown rapidly in recent years, and the time is right to offer an expanded set of capabilities under strong leadership'.

The company is online at www.comscore.com
