Decision Analyst Adds Syndicated Research Arm

US agency Decision Analyst has formed a new Syndicated Research Group and appointed Diane Brewton from Synovate to lead it. The new unit will make use of the firm's American Consumer Opinion(r) Panel, which provides access to more than five million individuals throughout the world.

The Group recently released its '2004 American Home Comfort Study', focusing on HVAC, home comfort and energy efficiency from the homeowner perspective. It is working on studies of health and wellness, baby product, personal care and pet product markets. The company's proprietary online reporting system will provide clients with interactive and iterative report capabilities, and print versions will also be available.

'Syndicated research clients will be able to access the data from our studies with an ease that directly impacts their bottom line', according to Garry Upton, Executive VP at Decision Analyst. 'In addition, given that our syndicated respondents are panelists, our syndication clients can conduct additional custom ad hoc research with key respondents'.

Brewton, who becomes Senior VP and Director of Syndicated Research, has more than 20 years of syndicated research experience, having worked previously for Market Facts/Synovate, MRCA Information Services, and ad agency Foote, Cone and Belding. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Utah and a master's degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
