GMI's Chua to Lead BPO Company
Bob Chua, formerly MD of Sales, International at online MR solutions provider Global Market Insite (GMI), has left to head up a new company, Pulse Group, with GMI's backing. Pulse Group is headquartered in Sydney, Aus and offers Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) for the MR industry.
Since last summer Chua has managed sales in Asia and Europe for GMI, as well as spearheading the global launch of its Omnibus service. Based in Sydney, he has extensive research, technology and management expertise, in roles including Hong Kong-based Executive Director of ACNielsen.Online, head of the Asia-Pacific IT Sector for Taylor Nelson Sofres and Research Director for TNS Malaysia.
Pulse Group's BPO hub will operate from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company describes itself as 'a total solutions provider to the market research industry' with four key service areas: software localisation, professional translation services, data collection, and technical support / training on software development. It will also provide Online Access Panels, both consumer and b2b, and aims to become 'the preferred solutions provider to the top 50 global market research organisations by 2007'.
Pulse has already announced a strategic alliance with GMI whereby the Pulse Group will use GMI's latest Net-MR 5.0 suite of software tools manage and automate its research. GMI Founder and CEO Rob Monster says 'We are delighted that Bob will now turn from employee to client and that our relationship will continue to flourish in a different direction. Bob is carrying on a tradition of successful GMI alumni... and is the second GMI manager to become a CEO in his own right'.
