Technology Specialist Recruits Again

Flat panel display MR specialist DisplaySearch has appointed David Naranjo, formerly of Panasonic AVC Networks Company, as Vice President of TV Market Research.

His 14 plus years of experience in the consumer and commercial electronics industry includes business analysis, product development, product planning, marketing and executive management.

At the Panasonic company, Naranjo was Group Manager of Product Planning, responsible for planning and launching display and set-top box products for the North and South American region. He has also served on CEA committees and the Video Board, and spoken on the TV market for SID, CEA, FCC and NCTA conferences. He previously spent three years in the cable industry as a product manager and application engineer at General Instrument. He holds a Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering and an MBA with distinction in Marketing and Finance.

In addition to tracking and forecasting television market dynamics, Naranjo will be responsible for enhancing DisplaySearch's expanding custom consulting services for consumer electronics, and will help develop TV-related content for the company's conferences across the globe.

President Ross Young says Naranjo's 'substantial knowledge in the television space as well as his experience in product definition and implementation' will add dimensions to its television research business, which now has a dozen analysts worldwide.
