Carat Hires New Head of Insight

Carat International has appointed Anthony Jones as Head of Insight. Jones has spent the last seven and a half years at ZenithOptimedia Worldwide, latterly as Worldwide Research Director, and replaces Phil Gullen who has left Carat after 13 years to develop other business interests.

At Carat, Jones will play a key research role with global clients including Vodafone, Renault, Philips, and Pernod Ricard, and will be responsible both for the transference of research best practice around the group and the development of new research products and services. He will be based at Carat International's London HQ and will report to CEO Susannah Outfin.

Prior to ZenithOptimedia Jones worked at CIA setting-up and running CIA MediaLab, BSB Dorland, the UK's Radio Marketing Bureau and Walkers Crisps.

Outfin says the hire emphasizes Carat International's 'commitment to capitalise on and develop the market-leading research products and services already available to our clients'.

Carat International, a division of Carat, provides global co-ordination of clients' media investments, and upscale communication services and products, via its team of 120. Carat is part of the Aegis Group, owners of Synovate, and is online at www.carat.com
