GMI's Monster Wins

Rob Monster, founder of US-based Global Market Insite (GMI) has been named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Pacific Northwest in the Software and Technology category. GMI, founded in 1999, provides online MR solutions including Net-MR software, which allows automated online data collection and processing and panel management.

Monster was selected from 19 finalists by an independent panel of judges comprised of local business, academic and community leaders. 'I set out to redefine the market research landscape and it is truly validating to have the company's efforts recognized by such a revered judging panel', he said. 'My own frustrations travelling the globe as a product development manager for Procter & Gamble helped me realize the concept of our Net-MR software and today I am proud to boast that our product helps 500 clients in more than 40 countries.'

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Program honours entrepreneurs through regional, national and global award programs in over 100 cities and 35 countries. Winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 19, 2005.
