MDL Buys Media and Travel Research Firms
UK-based business intelligence specialist MDL Research has acquired European Data & Research (EDR) along with its subsidiary company International Air Travel Surveys (IATS).
EDR, which was set up more than thirty years ago, specialises in air travel research, media research among business travellers, and research into the jewellery market.
MDL itself has experience in the media and travel sectors stretching back to the 1970s. It plans to develop further research in these sectors, as well as continuing to run the EDR and IATS surveys under their existing names.
MDL's Chairman and Partner John Kelly commented on the 'real synergy' between the businesses, which he hopes can 'provide clients with cost-effective data, information and insights based upon many years' experience in the sectors'.
EDR's founder Peter Rusby will continue to work for the company on a consultancy basis.
