MORI Joins Sport England Team
Following Ipsos' recent win, MORI has also announced that it will conduct research for Sport England's campaigns. The fast-growing UK agency is also starting several new projects in other government and non-profit areas, including surveys of guide dog owners, the police, and people complaining about health services.
The national research for Sport England will run between September 2005 and March 2006, and will form a key part of the organisation's evaluation of the success of the campaign. Ipsos announced last week that it will undertake research for Sport England into physical activity levels in the UK (see www.mrweb.com/drno/news4423.htm ).
MORI has also been commissioned to conduct a monthly customer satisfaction telephone survey of complainants for the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, as a pilot project for six months. The project will involve widespread consultation with staff at all levels within the organisation. The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has appointed MORI to carry out research into householders' and neighbours' experience of the planning system, with a view to revising the existing regime.
MORI will also conduct a residents' survey for Westminster Council for the fourth year running, and will also poll residents from the London Borough of Hackney using online, postal, and face-to-face methods. Kensington and Chelsea Council has commissioned the company to conduct research into its Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs). This will involve focus groups with local residents, the police, PCSOs and other stakeholders.
Finally, the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has asked MORI to carry out exploratory research among guide dog owners, to gauge their views of the charity's work.
