Talk to Turkey - GfK Launches Online Panel
GfK Turkey has announced a new access panel of almost 4.2 million members, providing samples for online research in the country. The panel members represent a high proportion of the c.11 million people online in Turkey (population 72m and Internet penetration around 15%).
GfK says most Turkish users connect from Internet cafes, offices, educational institutions or the like, and home use is 80% dial-up although ADSL is increasing rapidly.
The company says that prior to launch the panel and software have undergone extensive tests 'to ensure glitch free execution and successful sample delivery'.
