Mystery Shopping Association Appoints New Leaders

The US Mystery Shopping Providers Association (MSPA) announced its new Board of Directors, which includes a new President and Vice President, at its annual North America Conference this week. The new President is David Rich, who works as President of ICC/Decision Services.

As well as the President and VP, two new Directors were elected for the 2005-2006 session. Board members, who are elected by MSPA North America members, each serves for a three-year term. The new appointees are:

David Rich, President. Rich, who previously served as MSPA VP, founded DemoWORKS, an in-store marketing company, which he then merged with All-Ways Advertising. In 1999, he purchased ICC/Decision Services, an MR firm that specializes in customer experience management. Rich says he hopes to 'engage the MSPA membership in a variety of initiatives that will help reinforce the value of mystery shopping as an essential tool for any company'.

Tom Mills, Vice President. Mills is the Managing Partner of Service Sleuth, the mystery shopping division of Howard Services, which he co-owns. He has previously served as Chairman of the MSPA Technology Committee, and was voted Volunteer of the Year in 2002 by the MSPA.

Returning directors are:

  • Chuck Paul, A Closer Look.
The Board also includes the President of MSPA Europe - François Léauté, CEO of Dynamic Marketing Services.

John Swinburn, Executive Director of the MSPA, says the new Board comprises 'very talented individuals who each posses a wealth of knowledge pertaining to customer experience management'.

The MPSA has more than 180 member companies worldwide, including MR, private investigation, and training companies. Its aims to establish professional standards and ethics for the industry. The organisation's web site is at http://mysteryshop.org
