NPD Offers New Technology Insight

The NPD Group has launched Market Insights, a service that combines industry analysis of consumer electronics markets with point-of-sale (POS) data, consumer panel information, and a new forecasting methodology. The first of the Market Insights reports will cover digital still cameras.

The new service includes four components:
  • Market Pulse - a monthly analysis of POS and consumer data
  • Market Outlook - quarterly and annual forecasts based on mathematical and statistical modelling, and insights from industry analysts
  • Analyst Inquiry and Strategic Review - services tailored to clients' needs, allowing them to interact directly with NPD's analysts. The analysts will address clients' questions and concerns and help them make strategic decisions.
