IMS Health Appoints Presidents
IMS Health has appointed Gilles Pajot to the new position of President, Global Business Management. Pajot was previously President for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) - a role now taken by Kevin Knightly, formerly Chief Financial Officer for North America and Europe.
Pajot has more than 30 years' experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. He joined IMS in 1997 as Executive VP and President for EMEA. Before this, he was Senior VP at Pharmacia & Upjohn, responsible for worldwide restructuring of the newly merged company.
In his new role, he will drive the continued globalisation of the company, and oversee marketing and communications. He will continue to report to David Carlucci, IMS CEO and President.
Carlucci says Pajot has 'played a prominent role in defining and implementing our business strategy in the EMEA region, generating higher demand for our offerings and reaching more clients in a broader range of health industry sectors.'
Knightly, who will also report to Carlucci, has worked for IMS and its predecessors for 22 years, holding several financial, operations, marketing and general management positions. He will now take responsibility for IMS operations in more than 50 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
