Launch of Australian Telecoms Agency
Shara Evans, who founded Australian telecoms MR firm Telsyte, has left to set up her own telecoms research company, Market Clarity. She is joined at the new firm by Research Manager Richard Chirgwin, who previously provided consulting services for Telsyte.
Evans founded Telsyte in 1997. When she sold it in 2002, it became part of the larger Gibson Quai telecoms consultancy and research organisation. She remained as MD of Telsyte until last December, when she resigned to launch the new firm. She has been replaced at Telsyte by Warren Chaisatien, formerly Research Manager at IDC Australia.
Chirgwin previously worked as a technology journalist, editing the CommsWorld web site (www.commsworld.com.au ) as well as acting as a consultant for Telsyte.
The new company, Market Clarity, is launching a series of demographic and forecast reports into the Australian telecoms market. The first of these, covering the fixed voice services market, will be launched this month. It will be followed by studies covering mobile, VoIP, and data services. The company also offers custom research, strategic advice, and tender management.
Market Clarity's web site is at www.marketclarity.com.au . Telsyte is online at www.telsyte.com.au
