Ipsos Revenues Up 26%+ in Emerging Markets

Ipsos achieved consolidated revenues of 717.8 million Euros in 2005, 18.7% more than in 2004. Growth was strongest in Asia Pacific and the Middle East (26%) and in Latin America (36.4%). The company's Opinion and Social Research division saw the highest growth (46%), followed by Marketing Research (19.3%).

Organic growth was 8.6% for the full year, and 9.3% for the fourth quarter - outperforming the market, which grew at an estimated 6%. The results were helped by positive currency effects, and the consolidation of various companies throughout the year: Descarie & Complices (Montreal) and Shifrin Research (New York), GDMR (Canton), Napoleon Franco (Colombia), MORI (UK), and Understanding UnLtd (Cincinnati).

The company expects to achieve similar levels of organic growth in 2006, but with a higher operating margin. By 2007, the company expects revenues of one billion euros, based on 2005 exchange rates, and an operating margin of over 10%.

The company's strategy includes selective acquisitions in regions where Ipsos lacks sufficient commercial presence, strengthening of partnerships with global key clients, and greater use of new technologies.
