Yankee Creates Research Leader Role

Technology consultancy Yankee Group has announced management changes which unify its global research offerings under a single Chief Research Officer (CRO). Brad Hecht, leader of the Group's research organization from 2002 to 2004, assumes the role with immediate effect.

Yankee's three current research practices are:
  • telecommunications/wireless/mobile
  • consumers/media/entertainment and
  • IT.
The company was recently acquired by new owners ( DRNO ).

Group President and CEO Emily Nagle Green explains the new role: 'As CRO, Brad is chartered with integrating Yankee Group's research teams to collaboratively respond to customer demand for greater flexibility and expanded product offerings that align with their timely needs.'

At the same time, long-time employee Berge Ayvazian moves to the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer, from which he will oversee the firm's new growth mission, lead and drive several new activities and initiatives, and form a company advisory board later this year.

Executive VP Rob Rich will leave at the end of the month, after 12 years at Yankee Group, to pursue other interests. He comments 'While it has been a wonderful run for me at Yankee Group and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with clients around the globe, I look forward to the next phase of my career.' His responsibilities will be shared between Eileen Eastman, Zeus Kerravala, Keith Mallinson and Boyd Peterson.
