Product Testing Launch from Ipsos

Ipsos Insight has announced a new product testing system, 'Product Precision', using tailored test designs to address business issues that arise throughout the product lifecycle.

Applications include measuring the success of a new product, improving product performance, assessing reformulation risk, or reducing costs. Product Precision is part of Ipsos Insight's suite of innovation and NPD solutions, which includes opportunity testing, concept testing and package testing.

According to Lauren Demar, President of the firm's Consumer Products Division, 'Product Precision also provides unique value-added analytics and consultative advice so our clients receive a customized, data-driven action plan for developing a successful product—no matter what stage of the product lifecycle their brand is in.' Demar says the launch reflects 'increasing pressure' for consumer products companies 'to develop new and improved products, while continuing to drive down the cost of production.'
