Yankee Wireless Pioneer Joins Verizon
US telecoms giant Verizon Wireless has appointed Mark Lowenstein as Vice President, Market Strategy and Segmentation, with immediate effect. Lowenstein spent 10 years with the Yankee Group, and founded and led the company's global wireless practices.
Lowenstein will be responsible for directing Verizon's approach to serving its business and consumer markets, including service pricing, prioritization of applications and services, customer insights and user requirements development.
Before joining Verizon he was MD of his own company, Mobile Ecosystem, providing strategic counselling to wireless industry executives. Previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer at Informio. At Yankee, he supervised a global team of analysts and headed large-scale strategy consulting projects.
Lowenstein holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.A. in International Communications and Technology Policy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
