Maritz Builds Pharma Team

Maritz Research, the market research unit of Maritz Inc., has announced four hires for its recently launched Pharma Research Group. Madhunika Raghavan becomes Director of Research and Operations and Lili Pasha Director of Research Services. George Ellis and Carolyn Phillips also join the team.

Raghavan served most recently as Director of Research for pharma multinational sanofi-aventis, and previously held senior positions at a number of pharma research firms. Her role at Maritz incorporates everything from serving clients in a consultative role to co-ordinating the resources of the unit. She holds a Master's degree in economics from Clark University (Worcester, Mass.), and a Bachelor's degree in business and accounting.

Pasha worked previously on the client side for companies including Novartis, Janssen-Ortho, and sanofi-aventis. She has extensive experience with the design and conduct of strategic qualitative and quantitative research, covering a variety of therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, central nervous, women's health, arthritis, gastrointestinal, and asthma. She holds both a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in math from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

Ellis joins as a Senior Research Manager, responsible for management, co-ordination, and execution of all aspects of research. His ten years plus of experience of large-scale qual and quant research includes brand equity/market assessment audits; product launch forecasting studies; product positioning studies; sales force effectiveness studies; and competitive detailing audits. He holds a Masters degree in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and has served as adjunct professor of psychology, behavioral research, and statistics at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Kean University, and Bloomfield College.

Phillips joins as a research manager. She brings 10 years of qual and quant experience, including therapeutic areas such as anti-arthritics, anti-thrombotics, antidepressants, anti-infectives and urology (men and women's health). She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from St. Joseph University and an MBA with a concentration in international business from Temple University.
