Qual Software House Strikes Gold
QSR International has announced that it is the first qualitative research software developer in the world to become a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.
The award is made to companies demonstrating an extremely high level of competence and expertise with specific areas of Microsoft technology. Ms Pip Marlow, Director SMS&P, Microsoft Australia describes QSR as 'an innovative company that's leading the international market in the development of qualitative research software' and praises its 'commitment to making sophisticated software applications user-friendly based on the Microsoft platform'.
QSR is based in Melbourne, Australia with offices also in London, Massachusetts and California. Its flagship products – XSight and NVivo 7 – are both designed to help researchers and other people working with non-numerical data to compile, compare and make sense of their information quickly and easily.
QSR International CEO John Owen said the certification was a significant achievement for the company and its 300,000 users, which include the likes of Oxford University, Ipsos-MORI and Harvard Medical School. Among the advantages of the award, QSR will now have advance access to emerging Microsoft technologies, allowing new software releases better future-proofing in line with Microsoft developments.
