GfK NOP Hires Insight Director

GfK NOP has hired Richard Matthews for the new role of Director of Insight for its Technology division, tasked with developing a suite of services to integrate insight into client processes. Matthews worked client side in senior insight functions at Vodafone and Nokia for nearly ten years.

The firm says Matthews' experience, which includes the development of innovative tools and processes and of benchmarking efforts for the insight industry itself, leaves him 'ideally positioned to understand what clients need and expect from customer insight and how they can integrate and action key messages into their business processes.'

Matthews will develop a suite of insight services to include 'insight audits' to maximise client processes; specialist training for client insight teams; brainstorms and workshops; and the integration of information from multiple sources into strategic reports.

Richard Jameson, MD of the Technology division, says the role is a response to client requests for more integration of insight into business processes. 'Richard has an outstanding background on the client side, especially in the areas of new product development and innovation, and will be operating as an integral part of our Technology research team.' Matthews himself says that to be successful 'means engaging with all types of decision makers and providing deliverables in a language and format they prefer.'

GfK NOP's Technology division has more than 80 professional researchers specialising in the technology market and can be found on the Web via www.gfknop.co.uk .
