Meyers Hands On Millward Brown CEO Role

Millward Brown's Bob Meyers has relinquished his CEO responsibilities to the firm's President of Global Development, Eileen Campbell. Meyers will remain as Chairman for the rest of 2007, and is likely to take another role within Kantar.

Meyers, who has led Millward Brown (MB) for the past decade, joined the firm in 1986 when the US company Ad Factors, which he ran for 11 years, became part of the MB Group. His decision reflects a feeling that after 10 years at the helm it is 'time to turn the leadership over to someone new'. He is currently in discussions with Eric Salama, CEO of parent firm Kantar, about an alternative role within the organisation.

Salama commented: 'Bob Meyers has been a superb CEO and as good a colleague as you could hope to find. Under his leadership MB has innovated and widened its offer, globalised and become a magnet for top talent. In many ways MB is the benchmark for our industry. As a colleague he has been totally dependable, open to change, and fair – everything you would want in a CEO.'

Campbell joined the firm from the Angus Reid Group (now part of Ipsos) in 1999, as CEO of its North American business unit reporting in to Meyers. She had also previously held senior positions at NFO Research and Maritz Market Research.

According to Salama, Campbell has a 'sense of what is special about Millward Brown and how the company needs to adapt for the future.'
